List of terms used in the description:

  • Personal data – any information relating to an identified or identifiable customer.

  • Processing of personal data – any action carried out with personal data, including its: collection, registration, input, storage, arrangement, transformation, use, provision, transfer and disclosure, blocking or deletion.

  • Customer – a natural person (data subject) who can be identified directly or indirectly through the use of data available in the data processing system.

  • Consent of the client – the free and unambiguous expression of will of the client (data subject), whereby the client consents to the processing of their personal data for the specified purpose.

  • Personal Data Processor – a natural or legal person, agency or other entity that, alone or in association with others, determines the purpose and means of processing personal data and provides access to personal data.

  • An authorised person is a person who, on behalf of the controller of the system and personal data, processes personal data.

  • Cookies are small text files, which are generated and stored on the client’s device (computer, tablet, mobile phone, etc.) while visiting/viewing Ceramic Pro Latvia internet sites.

  • Legitimate interest – the interest of Ceramic Pro Latvia is based on the provision of quality services, as well as it has a legal basis, provided that the interests, rights and fundamental freedoms of the data subject are not more important than the legitimate interests of the company.

  • Profiling is any automatic processing of personal data, which enables the use of personal data related to a specific natural person in order to evaluate/prognosticate aspects (desires, interests, reliability, behavior, location, movement of the mentioned person). Profiling is used to: assign bonuses, create and present individual offers, notify the customer of news and offers, send congratulations, etc. Profiling is done for direct marketing purposes only and will not create any legal consequences for the customer.

1. The processing of personal data

Ceramic Pro Latvia processes (gathering, registration, entering, storage, systematization, utilization, transfer, deletion, etc.) personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law and other normative acts valid in the Republic of Latvia.

The Ceramic Pro Latvia, in accordance with the valid normative acts, observes the following principles in the data processing system of natural persons:

  • Ceramic Pro Latvia ensures the honest and lawful processing of data.
  • The processing of acquired data serves specific purposes and is carried out only in accordance with those purposes.
  • The data are adequate (not excessive).
  • The data obtained is accurate.
  • The data must not be stored for longer than the necessary period and must be destroyed after reaching the defined objective.
  • The data acquired by Ceramic Pro Latvia is processed in accordance with the rights of the physical persons.
  • Ceramic Pro Latvia ensures the safe storage of the acquired data.
  • Ceramic Pro Latvia does not provide the data received to other organizations without safe and adequate protection within the framework of the regulations and the Personal Data Protection Law (Regulation on Personal Data Protection No. 2016/679).

2. Privacy Policy

  • The processing (collection, registration, input, storage, systematization, utilization, transfer, deletion, etc.) of personal data is performed by Ceramic Pro Latvia in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law and other laws and regulations valid in the Republic of Latvia.

3. Categories of personal data to be processed

3.1. The categories of personal data to be processed depend on the services and products used by the client. Ceramic Pro Latvia has the right to process the following categories of personal data and data about the use of services and products:

  • Data obtained with the client’s consent (which the client himself has provided).
  • Name, surname, personal code or date of birth;
  • Mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address;
  • Bank details;
  • Surveillance camera footage and images;
  • Communication data. Information from emails related to communication between the client and Ceramic Pro Latvia;
  • The cookies, the data about the visits to the website of company Ceramic Pro Latvia; If the client does not want to use cookies, they can prohibit it in their browser, but in that case some options of the website might be limited;
  • Data, time, volume of views on internet sites.

4. Grounds for processing personal data

  • Consent of the customer. The client, as the subject of personal data, gives his/her own consent (consent of the data subject) to the collection and processing of personal data for certain purposes. The consent of the client is an independent decision of the client, which he or she may give or withdraw at any time, thereby allowing or disallowing Ceramic Pro Latvia to process his or her personal data. The withdrawal of the consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing or the quality of the services received, which were related to the consent before it was withdrawn.
  • The legitimate interests of Ceramic Pro Latvia are based on the provision of quality services. The company Ceramic Pro Latvia has the right to process the personal data of the client in such volume, which is objectively necessary and sufficient for the provision of quality, comfortable and timely services. As well as for the creation and support of the internal processes resources of the company Ceramic Pro Latvia.
  • The legal obligations of Ceramic Pro Latvia. The company Ceramic Pro Latvia is obliged to process the personal data of the client for the fulfillment of the requirements of the normative acts, to provide responses to the enquiries of the state and municipal legislative bodies.
  • To conclude and implement the contractual obligations of the customer. For the provision of quality service and maintenance, Ceramic Pro Latvia processes certain personal data, which are collected before the conclusion of the contract or during the validity period of an already concluded contract.
  • In the interest of the public or the exercise of lawful authority. In such cases, the basis for the processing of personal data is described in the regulatory acts.
  • By processing the personal data of the customer, Ceramic Pro Latvia has the right to conduct profiling, in order to provide automated individual commercial offers, which are provided for business purposes only and which will not create any legal consequences for the customer.

5. Purposes of personal data processing

  • To conclude and fulfill contractual obligations with the client.
  • To assess the client’s ability to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • For efficient cash flow management, for controlling the client’s payments and debts.
  • In order to ensure the security and the protection of the legitimate interests of the company Ceramic Pro Latvia (safety of the property of the company Ceramic Pro Latvia).
  • To develop new directions, to offer a new range of services.
  • For statistical data processing, for market analysis.

6. Ways of obtaining personal data

  • The client provides Ceramic Pro Latvia with their data when the client:
    • Orders, uses products and services from Ceramic Pro Latvia;
    • Agrees to participate in competitions, lotteries and surveys;
    • Visits or browses the websites of Ceramic Pro Latvia;
    • The client is filmed by CCTV cameras.
  • Ceramic Pro Latvia and its authorized persons are entitled, within the framework of the Law on Personal Data Protection (Regulation on Personal Data Protection No.2016/679) and partner companies, to process the personal data of the customer, which has been received from the customer.

7. Retention period for personal data

  • Ceramic Pro Latvia has the right to store personal data about the customer:
    • As long as the customer has not withdrawn his or her consent to the processing of personal data;
    • Necessary deadline to realise and protect the legitimate interests of Ceramic Pro Latvia;
    • According to the retention period of personal data as specified in the regulations and the Regulation on Personal Data Protection;
    • While the customer is in a contractual relationship with Ceramic Pro Latvia.
    • Until the purpose of the use of the data, which is defined at the time of receipt.

8. Sharing of personal data

  • Ceramic Pro Latvia provides personal data about the client in the necessary and sufficient amount, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations, also taking into account the objective reasons for the particular situation;
  • If necessary, provide personal data about the customer to Ceramic Pro Latvia and its authorized persons, within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Act (Regulation on Personal Data Protection No. 2016/679) and/or partners, service providers, which are related to ordering, using products and providing services in order to improve the quality of service;
  • Ceramic Pro Latvia is obliged to provide information about personal customer data to law enforcement bodies, state and municipal institutions, if it is regulated by regulations or a request is received from the respective institution.

9. Ways of protecting personal data

  • In order to improve the protection of personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction and disclosure, Ceramic Pro Latvia uses the latest technology and complies with technical and organisational requirements;
  • Ceramic Pro Latvia performs thorough audits of the authorized persons, partners, service providers and employees, who process personal data of the customer, as well as evaluates the appropriate measures for ensuring the safe processing and storage of personal data in accordance with the requirements of regulatory enactments;
  • Ceramic Pro Latvia is not responsible for the unauthorized access, loss of personal data of the client, in case it has occurred due to reasons beyond the control of Ceramic Pro Latvia (for example, through the fault or negligence of the client).

10. Customer rights

  • The Customer has the right to withdraw from receiving commercial offers, profiling their personal data at any time;
  • Withdrawal of consent, changes do not affect the lawfulness of the processing of personal data and/or the quality of the services received, which were relevant to the consent before it was withdrawn;
  • The customer has the right to correct (by amending) all personal data held about him/her;
  • The Customert has the right to request the deletion or restriction of his personal data (“Right to be forgotten”), to submit a statement with a request;
  • The Customer has the right to obtain information about those persons to whom information about his (the Customer’s) personal data has been made available;
  • The Customer has the right to transfer personal data, i.e. to transfer his/her personal data to another processor. These rights include only the data that the customer has provided based on his or her voluntary consent or contract, or if automatic processing takes place. In order to exercise the above rights, a request must be submitted.
